IN OUR CLASSROOMS…
Early Childhood – (Kocher) We are looking for shapes everywhere – literally! One child found squares in the bathroom, another found rectangles in the gym! The next two weeks will be a little different for some of us because of preschool parent/teacher conferences on March 18 & 19 and a Teachers’ Conference on March 12 & 13. No Preschool on those days. Sign up sheets are on the classroom door to pick a time for Parent/Teacher conference. We will discuss your child’s screening results at that time. No letter of the week until March 22. (Kocher) How much the children are learning!! They are like sponges soaking up information as fast as they can. Our sympathy to Nicole Roberts her family at their loss.
Kindergarten – We owe the third grade a big thanks for coaching us so we could get our bronze medals at the Olympic ceremony last Friday. We have teeth so bright you ‘gotta’ wear shades. We are learning more about what it means to be a patriot and reviewing the vowels and sight words. In math we are learning about money. We are earning money so we can purchase items at Miss Tucker’s store next Friday.
1st Grade – Hats off to Caleb Speth for winning the Dental Health coloring contest. We’re looking forward to National Lutheran School Week. Hope to see you on Sunday.
2nd Grade – A big thank you to Mrs. Chandler for helping while Mrs. Dickinson is gone. Read Dinosaur Fossils tonight. Our test will be tomorrow. Check out our clay landforms we made. They are on the table in the hallway outside our classroom.
3rd Grade – Thank you to everyone who sent in the milk jugs for our project. We will begin working on this soon. Next week is Lutheran Schools Week and I encourage you to join us for the trip to Saxony High School on Sunday. It will be a lot of fun and exciting to see all of the other students from Lutheran schools in southeast Missouri. Thank God for St. Paul Lutheran School and Church next week (and always) as we celebrate National Lutheran Schools week with schools all around our nation!!
4th Grade – We’ve been reading stories of survival and will begin The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. There are many tests in the next few days: Wednesday – spelling; Thursday – social studies chapter 8; and Friday – social studies vocabulary and spelling; and Monday – science E:9:2. Remember our field trip forms and money are due Friday, March 12.

Three papers will be chosen from our class to compete with other fifth graders in Farmington. - We're looking forward to National Lutheran Schools Week! Please carefully read the handout going home today. - Students need to continue reading for their March mini-book-reports. These are due on March 31.
